New 2011 Metrics Data Published

Promoting continuous quality improvement of human research protection programs (HRPPs) is a top priority for AAHRPP. From data supplied by client organizations in 2011, AAHRPP has compiled an information database to help research organizations, research sponsors, and government agencies identify and support high-quality practices for their HRPPs. These benchmarking “metrics,” as they have become known, are increasingly used by organizations in their own quality improvement programs. Individual organizations, both AAHRPP accredited and non-accredited, can compare their performance on various measures with the aggregate performance of other accredited programs.

“We are pleased to see so many organizations establish an evidence-based practice for their HRPPs.  Organizations can now make decisions regarding HRPP efficiency, staffing, and training programs, based on objective data,” remarked Dr. Marjorie Speers, President and CEO, AAHRPP.

The 2011 metrics are now available on the AAHRPP website by clicking here.
