The Advancing Ethical Research Conference gets underway in National Harbor later this week December 2-4, 2011, with a Pre-Conference on December 1, 2011. AAHRPP will be exhibiting again this year so don’t forget to visit us at Booth 400. 

Don’t miss Track 3: Accreditation of HRPPs. This track will focus on strategies for achieving and maintaining accreditation. Topics include financial conflicts of interest, data safety and monitoring plans, evaluations of IRB members, and reporting requirements for researchers.

AAHRPP’s chief education and evaluation officer, Peter Vasilenko, Ph.D. will be presenting at session D3: IRB Consideration of Data and Safety Monitoring Plans (Element II.3.B.) on Saturday, December 3, 2011 3:45-5:00 p.m. This session will discuss IRB consideration and review of data and safety monitoring plans, as well as review when such plans are appropriate and what they should contain.
